The mountain concert «by Rondane»
Powerful music meets grand nature when the Peer Gynt festival presents famous artists at the outdoor stage overlooking Rondane National park.
The outdoor concert venue on the Kvamsfjellet mountain was built for the first mountain concert in the festival in 1996. There are benches for 100 people, but most guests prefer to bring their own folding chair, a sit-mat or a blanket, and sit in the heater. In the heater you will get the best view to the home of the Mountain King, the steep mountains of Rondane National park.
With the Rondane mountains as the scenery, the venue offers a unique framework for culture in nature.
The concert gathers about 2000 spectators, and is considered one of the highlights of the festival program. This concert is suitable for an international audience.
It was an absolutely stunning experience with brilliant actors, outstanding musicians and a wonderful designed and used stage
